On a rainy day, the staff are holding a memorial service for Brett just outside the store front. Sandra plays a song on the ukulele. (♫ Sandra - Creep ♫) Amy gives a eulogy which Glenn interrupts saying that Brett's death isn't a certainty as no body was found. Dina states that he probably wasn't killed by the tornado and describes various tornado-related ways Brett could have died. Brett's death wasn't known sooner since someone was clocking in for him. As arguments break out, Amy asks Sandra for another song but she can only attempt playing a new chord she's learnt. Later, as Jonah talks to Amy about the service, he says that no one he's ever known has died or been in a major accident. He starts wondering how Garrett became disabled but Amy doesn't know.

Mateo cuts his finger while he and Cheyenne are putting security locks on DVDs. Glenn asks how they are and when Mateo responds negatively, he thinks they are mourning Brett and offers them a break to reflect. They both fake loss and speak of their relationship with Brett in order to get time off work. At the store front, Dina is staring out the window anxiously. Amy checks in on her, Dina admits she hasn't been sleeping and that the weather is worsening so everyone should get in the new Storm Shelter. Amy doesn't think this is necessary but Dina disagrees and mentions Brett's death. A customer takes a framed photo of Brett from his memorial table. (♫ Dexys Midnight Runners - Come On Eileen ♫) Amy asks Jonah and Garrett if they notice anything odd with Dina's behavior but neither do. Thunder claps which sends Dina into a panic. She announces on the P.A. system that everyone must go to the shelter and starts to physically move customers there.

In the shelter, Glenn opens the door and apologies to the customers for the false alarm. He's says they are free to go but Dina won't apologize as she believes better safe than sorry. At a checkout counter, water is dripping on Elias from the ceiling. (♫ NSync – Tearin’ Up My Heart ♫) Jonah tries to find out about Garrett's past from Myrtle but she starts telling stories from 1987 when she joined the store. In the Break Room, Mateo and Cheyenne are looking at their phones when Glenn enters. They fake sorrow and Glenn says he wants to write a tribute for Brett for the store newsletter. Since they indicated they knew him well, Glenn asks personal questions about Brett to which they make up answers. Amy catches Dina loading a shopping cart with supplies for the shelter. Heather leaves lace panties on a framed photo of Brett. (♫ Squeeze - Tempted ♫)
There's no tornado.
Jonah asks Sandra if she knows how Garrett became disabled. As she starts to reply, Garrett interrupts them and asks what they are talking about. Sandra tells a very believable story about Jonah asking questions on BBQing burgers and after Garrett leaves, Jonah tells her she's an incredible liar. Cheyenne and Mateo continue to make up stories about Brett for Glenn. Amy can't dissuade Dina from fixating on getting supplies for the shelter so she goes to Glenn's Office and tells Glenn that Dina needs professional help. Glenn gathers the staff in the Break Room to address the anxiety Dina is having. However, since the company has no manual on dealing with tornadoes, he uses one that deals with workplace shootings but uses the word "tornado" instead of "gun" when reading the manual. Dina is upset with Amy who apologizes to her. A customer navigates many rain buckets with his shopping cart. (♫ Heart - Alone ♫)

Dina proclaims Glenn's reading a waste of time so Amy confronts her and tries to get her to open up about what's troubling her. Jonah, Mateo, Glenn and Myrtle all share personal traumas of varying degrees of severity. Elias is now soaked from the water dripping from the ceiling. (♫ Dan Hartman - I Can Dream About You ♫) Jonah points out Garrett hasn't shared but he says he's led a blessed life. Sandra starts to say she lived in a pet cemetery but Jonah interrupts and wants Garrett to elaborate. He says he fell off a horse and fell on his neck but walked away. Carol accuses Sandra of trying to murder her during the tornado. Dina has had enough and tells everyone that she gets the point of the exercise but that she doesn't have time to whine about her issues. As she storms off, she pushes Brett aside who has entered the Break Room.
Amy and Glenn watch Brett bag items and she explains that he escaped the tornado by driving away in his car. The store emailed the wrong Brett so he never knew he was supposed to return to work. Cheyenne and Mateo greet Brett enthusiastically to keep up the ruse that they were good friends with him. In the Warehouse, Garrett messes with Jonah by pretending to be sad that he saw a motorcycle that was responsible for his disability (which isn't true). Jonah knows Garrett is messing with him so Garrett explains that he doesn't want to reveal what caused his disability. In the shelter, Amy tries to drag Dina out and finally gets Dina to open up about her troubles. However, Dina goes back to her childhood and relates many tragic stories which she can't stop telling. Dina isn't interested in hearing Amy's fears now that her husband Adam is gone.
