But while Glenn's manager status gets Dina the royal treatment at a fancy hospital, Amy and Jonah have a far different experience at a cheaper clinic. At the store, Garrett struggles to express his best wishes for the new parents.
I want to be in the hospital where only rich, white people go. I want to feel deeply uncomfortable that I'm the only brown person there.
Glenn and Dina tell the staff they are leaving for the hospital to induce labor. Glenn insists no one call him unless it's an emergency so Garrett appeals to Glenn's feelings and Justine asks about celebrities. Amy's water breaks which spills on Carol's shoes while Jonah comments she's three weeks early. Amy leaves with Glenn while Dina complains that Amy is showing her up. At Mercy Vale hospital, Amy and Dina are in adjoining rooms. Jonah's brought everything Amy needs and wonders if he should stay or leave. Amy wants him to stay, but not too close and then realizes that she should tell Adam she's in labor. Two patients walking with IV stands get their IV tubes tangled. (♫ Seal - Kiss from a Rose ♫) In Dina's room, Glenn and Dina argue and are interrupted by the handsome Dr. Sidian who is attending on the floor.

Smitten, Dina jokes with him and when he leaves, she wants to have Sidian deliver her baby instead of the doctor she's been seeing for nine months. Jerusha supports her and Dina asks Jerusha to go to her apartment and get numerous items that'll make her look more attractive. Adam overhears Jonah when on the phone with Amy so she implies that he's one of many from work at the hospital. Amy hasn't told him that she and Jonah are involved. At the store, Mateo brings congratulation cards for Garrett to sign. After Mateo calls a joke he's written "cute", Garrett asks for the cards back and ponders writing funnier jokes. At Mercy Vale, the hospital administrator, Lillian, informs Amy and Jonah that they don't take her insurance. They discover that Dina's is accepted because she's Cloud 9 management. Lillian tells them of a clinic that does accept their insurance.
Shaken not stirred Dr. Bond.
Amy and Jonah arrive at the Sunview clinic which is rundown and over-crowded. Amy's room is dilapidated and her elderly roommate is dead. At the store, Justine asks Garrett for the cards and puts pressure on him to write something hilarious. As Dr. Sidian examines Dina, she flirts with him and cues Glenn and Jerusha to compliment her which they do in an awkward fashion. A female customer steps in the puddle where Amy's water broke. (♫ Rick Springfield - Jessie's Girl ♫) Garrett tries out a baby card joke on a customer, which to his frustration, the customer only finds cute. At Sunview, Amy tries to make the best of her situation but Jonah's had enough and offers to pay to go back to Mercy Vale. When Amy refuses, he shows Amy her dead roommate again which convinces her to leave.

Amy is thrilled to be back at Mercy Vale until Lillian visits and asks how they'll pay. They discover the total fees are much greater than they thought which results in them going back to Sunview. In the Break Room, Garrett tries getting the staff to come up with a baby card message from everyone and makes the excuse that the individual messages were offensive. Finishing his examination of Dina, Dr. Sidian indicates she'll need a C-section which causes Dina anxiety, made worse by a story from Jerusha. At Sunview, Jonah massages Amy while she looks at her dead roommate until the clinic's elderly doctor, Fogler, arrives. Uncomfortable with his age, it's made worse when Dr. Fogler seems forgetful. In the Break Room, Sayid suggests a benign message which Justine doesn't agree with because she says she's sleeping with a lot of the staff. Earl suggests writing something funny and starts laughing which causes the staff to join in but frustrates Garrett.
It makes you laugh, 'cause it's like, crazy.
As Dr. Fogler starts the birthing process with Amy, his question as to Jonah's relationship with her starts them arguing. Dina's anxiety has reached fever pitch as she's being wheeled to surgery and as Glenn consoles her, he discovers to his discomfort that he's expected to be in the surgical bay. He agrees to go in when Dina pleads with him. Another attractive male doctor arrives which eases Dina. In the surgical bay, Glenn gets in the way of the medical staff while Jerusha holds Dina's hand. Dina asks for her music to be played which everyone finds strange. (♫ Julius Fučík - Entry of the Gladiators ♫) Amy is still discussing her relationship with Jonah as she's giving birth until Adam arrives. Grabbing one of Amy's legs, he high-fives everyone and declares them a team. (♫ Janey - See The Sun ♫) Glenn knocks over an instrument tray and seeing Dina's intestines, throws up in his surgical mask.
Amy gives birth to a boy and Dina, a girl. Jonah indicates Adam should cut the umbilical cord, while Glenn declares his joy as vomit drips down his chin. Dr. Fogler notices the dead woman in the bed beside Amy's and calls for assistance. A man sits under a "Cover Your Cough" sign and continually coughs without covering his mouth. (♫ Howard Jones - Everlasting Love ♫) In Dina's room, Jerusha cradles her new daughter while thanking Dina. Asking for a moment alone with the baby, Dina gives her some advice. As Amy cradles her baby boy with Adam beside her, she remarks that he's not as purple and squishy as Emma was. Jonah excuses himself and Amy giving him a meaningful look. Garrett wheels past Amy's room, flings in a card and swears while Mateo tries to excuse Garrett's behaviour.

As Glenn indicates that he and Dina are going to the hospital and to not call unless there's an emergency, Justine asks if she should call if celebrities such as Alec, Billy or Stephen Baldwin visit the store.
Amy and Jonah get combative to keep their new relationship hidden from their co-workers. Meanwhile, Glenn spirals when he learns Kelly wants to transfer to a new store, and Cheyenne struggles to organize a Cloud 9 carpool.
When an employee costume competition is announced, Amy and Mateo aren't afraid to play dirty to win first prize, a paid day off. Meanwhile, Glenn is preoccupied by Cloud 9's new automatic cart collector, and Garrett is tormented by an annoying Halloween novelty song.

When a new Cloud 9 initiative forces employees to be friendlier to their customers, Amy ends up getting to know Jonah's parents, and learns he hasn't been completely truthful with them. The new policy also inspires Garrett and Dina to find out who can hold a smile longer.
Jonah and Amy take Glenn's tickets to a managers' conference in Chicago so they can enjoy a free night on the town, but their plan hits a few bumps. At the store, Cheyenne helps Mateo damage control after his undocumented status is leaked, and Dina and Garrett struggle at gift-wrapping.
Amy and Cheyenne attend Cloud 9 Academy to advance their careers. Dina and Garrett get roped into babysitting Glenn's daughter while he childproofs his office, and Jonah and Mateo become political activists.
Corporate introduces a friendly step-tracking challenge between Cloud 9 branches, and Amy, Jonah, and Dina create a fake rivalry to inspire Store #1217's laziest employees. But healthy competition gets increasingly chaotic when the fake rivalry becomes real.
Jonah and Amy's first Valentine's Day together gets derailed when Dina brings her birds to work, which also causes trouble for Garrett. Meanwhile, Cheyenne offers to give Marcus a sentimental tattoo, and Glenn makes videos for his daughter to watch while he's at work.
Amy jumps at an amazing career opportunity, only to run up against an exec with a major grudge against her. Jonah and Mateo help Glenn with a financial problem, while Garrett and Cheyenne struggle to spend a day without cell phones.
Amy finds herself at odds with her coworkers when some salary numbers get leaked, while Dina worries that Jonah is coming between her and Amy. Mateo tries to give himself a promotion, and Garrett attempts to sabotage Glenn's positive attitude.
Suspicious that people are making fun of her, Amy and Jonah spy on Cloud 9 employees through the security system, while Dina tries to track down an unsanctioned Easter Bunny in the store. Glenn preps for his church's Passion play.
Despite Dina's protests, Amy lets Glenn's pastor host an Earth Day booth at the store, but things quickly unravel when Glenn won't recognize Amy's authority. Jonah spearheads Cloud 9's green initiative, but is met with apathy from his coworkers.
Dina agrees to play the bad guy when corporate forces Amy to cut everyone's hours. Meanwhile, Jonah and the other employees play an elaborate game of laser tag with the store's new scanners, and Mateo makes a startling discovery about Marcus.
When a photo of a mess at store 1217 goes viral, Amy and Jonah try to use it to their advantage, while Dina starts hunting for the anonymous tweeter. And with money tight now that their hours have been cut back, Mateo, Cheyenne, Garrett, and Glenn sell their personal items in the store.
Amy and Dina visit Cloud 9 corporate to fix problems caused by Sandra's misguided activism, while Jonah tries to sabotage an employee meeting and Garrett tries to prove to his co-workers that he's a good person.
Amy and Jonah find themselves on opposing sides as corporate tries to win over employees by showering them with treats. But when the company's tactics grow more extreme, everyone must band together to save one of their own.
