With a massive snowstorm beating down on St. Louis and an unsympathetic home office, the Cloud 9 employees and customers get snowed in, leading to escalating tensions and in-fighting.
Plot[]
The store is jammed as customers stock up on items before a heavy snowstorm. Garrett announces limits on water purchases while Cheyenne absent-mindedly moves a crowd control sign causing chaos. As the staff watch a newscast reporting that storm is getting serious, Amy asks Glenn if they can leave early. At the store front, Jerry arrives having been ordered by Carol to bring her vape juice. Sandra's happiness at seeing him turns into sorrow as Carol rebukes Jerry for bringing the wrong type of juice. Hurting to see Carol constantly treat Jerry horribly, Sandra's face is so sad that Cheyenne asks to take her picture. In Glenn's Office, Glenn is unsuccessful in getting corporate to commit to letting the staff leave early. A child puts liquor bottles into a cart. (♫ Matthew Sweet - Girlfriend ♫)
As Garrett announces a state of emergency and encourages the customers to get home, his complaint that staff aren't allowed to leave is also addressed by Glenn over the store intercom. This leads to Amy, Jonah and a customer, Terry, also complaining over the intercom so Glenn gives in and tells everyone to leave. Outside, the storm is so bad the staff can't find their cars and they reluctantly go back inside. Glenn gathers the staff and customers in the Break Room and breaks the news that they're all stuck in the store for the evening. Marcus and Isaac rue that they'll miss their chili night while Mateo compares their situation to that of homeless people. Dina warns everyone to ration food causing Glenn to temper her caution and invite everyone to help themselves to whatever they need for the evening. Brett spreads puzzle pieces out on the floor of the Warehouse. (♫ Janet Jackson - Nasty ♫)
At Coffee & Bakery, Sandra and Jerry catch up. As everyone finds a place to sleep, Dina worries that Cheyenne will be the target of molestation and tells her to go to the center of the store. Terry calls his mistress, who is waiting for him at a hotel, and tells her not to use the minibar. The staff circle around a fake camping setting where Justine suggests they play spin the bottle but Dina overrides her and asks everyone to tell how they lost their virginity. (♫ Travis Scott - Butterfly Effect ♫) Dina lost hers to a high school jock she was tutoring, Jonah to a French exchange student and Mateo to Jasmine Mendoza. Amy lost hers to Adam as part of a week that saw him break his foot and lose a sports scholarship. Sandra doesn't want to tell her story and says it happened with someone in the circle while looking at Jerry.
Seeing Amy and Jonah settling in for the night on a mattress, Glenn is concerned that they aren't married and wedges a long pillow between them. Marcus is startled by a seemingly sleeping Dina who has painted eyes on her eyelids. Justine and a raccoon stare at each other. Laying next to a tent that Carol and Jerry are in, Sandra can't stand to hear Carol scolding Jerry and gets up. Dina won't let anyone move from their spot so Sandra has to lie back down and listen to Carol. In the morning, Mateo wakes to find Cheyenne draped across him and has difficulty getting her to move. Amy and Jonah are greeted by Marcus who is wearing nothing from the waist down. The storm over, the staff prepare to leave the store but find so much snow has piled up that the exits are blocked. Terry calls his mistress again and continues to show his cheapness.
At Coffee & Bakery, bored, Amy asks the most embarrassing way people hurt themselves. Cheyenne bit a quarter, thinking it was candy, Jonah collapsed at the end of a marathon and Isaac caught his penis in a friend's zipper. Everyone is grossed out as Marcus' story reveals that he poops in the shower. With only two choices of videos to watch, Garrett can't get the staff or a customer to agree on which one to pick. Ashley rides a scooter around in circles. For fun, Sandra puts makeup on Jerry and they laugh until Carol arrives and insults Jerry and his sister. Elias tries to play guitar and Heather bounces on a mini-trampoline. Really bored, nerves get frayed and several staff critisize Jonah's mannerisms. Amy attacks Mateo's elitism and as Glenn tries to calm everyone down, Mateo and Amy continue to exchange barbs.
A boy sits in a small rocking chair and eats chocolate frosting from a can. (♫ The Neighbourhood - Sweater Weather ♫) Amy and Mateo's fight spills over with Jonah tying into Glenn's story-telling, Dina hating Mateo's sneezes, Garrett not liking Isaac calling him "brother", Mateo telling Garrett and Marcus that they both smell and Glenn saying Dina's voice is a bit loud. Terry injects and complains how loud Amy eats chips. Staring at him, the staff say he's a customer, he has no business opining on staff matters and tell him to leave. This binds everyone and Justine's lame attempt to impersonate Terry still brings a laugh from everyone.
The tension burst, the staff start drinking. Cheyenne, Dina, Glenn and Mateo play Jenga with shoe boxes while Marcus does poorly at identifying drinks while blind-folded. Amy and Jonah play mini-golf on an improvised course while Amy playfully tries to goad Jonah into being tired of her. A customer walks in the front door and free at last, Garrett rolls outside without a coat. Brett completes many puzzles in the Warehouse. (♫ Harvey Danger - Flagpole Sitta ♫) Out of juice to mix with their liquor, Glenn tells Dina he has a stash in his office. Heading to the office, Dina catches Sandra and Jerry having sex.
