The employees hold a draw from the lost and found, Amy and Jonah find cash, Dina irks Garrett over their hook-up and Glenn tries to stave off staff depression.
Plot[]
I won't be weird, lady who has multiple birds.
In the Break Room, the staff are grumbling about the room's state of disrepair while Dina reads a memo from corporate on seasonal depression. In the Stock Room, Dina tells Garrett that he's acting weird around her since they had sex. She has no interest in pursuing a relationship, neither does he but she doesn't believe him. Ted finds a sign from the strike buried in the snow. In the Warehouse, the staff are gathered around the lost and found bin. (♫ HandClap – Fitz and the Tantrums ♫) With eyes closed, they each draw one item to keep while the rest cheer. Interesting items are common such as Sandra drawing a pair of dentures. At the Pharmacy, Glenn seeks advice from Tate on seasonal depression as he's concerned for the staff. Glenn is shocked to learn that about 20 of them take anti-depressants. He plans to combat this with laughter.
I'm attending the opera.
The draw continues with Cheyenne and Garrett drawing items. Mateo draws old cargo shorts which he is disgusted by. Jonah, Myrtle, Heather, Chris and Dina all draw with Dina getting an item Cheyenne wanted. Amy draws a beautiful leather jacket which Mateo clearly wants so she trades it for the cargo shorts. A woman grabs the wrong child and walks away. (♫ Kids in America – Kim Wilde ♫) Glenn approaches Cheyenne who is sad about the lost and found draw. He tries to cheer her up by making a balloon animal but the balloon snaps into her eye and she runs away crying. Garrett asks Dina for a shift change and again, she thinks he's trying to avoid her. Amy is on the phone arguing with her husband Adam when Jonah models the cargo pants for her in an amusing fashion.
Dina? Are you there?
Jonah starts to empty the pockets joking that the items are Amy's. After finding a joint, escort flyers, dip and a receipt, they are surprised to pull out a wad of cash. Glenn sprays silly string on Mateo which ruins the leather jacket from the draw. Initially, Amy wants to spend the money on necessities for her family until Jonah convinces her to pamper herself. Glenn dances for Garrett which starts him grinning. (♫ Geoffrey Gascoyne – Chirpy Charleston ♫) Dina can't see Glenn and thinks Garrett is grinning at her. She walks away in disgust which depresses Garrett and sends Glenn dancing faster. Amy decides to go to a spa but already gave Cheyenne $80 for diapers. In the Break Room, Cheyenne tells all the staff about Amy’s find. Glenn tries to cheer up Dina with a monkey puppet but Dina's harsh criticism ends up depressing him.
A lava lamp? You should have it.
Amy and Jonah enter the Break Room to be greeted by everyone wanting to know about the money. Jonah lists the items they found in the cargo shorts and Sandra asks about the ice tea that was listed on the receipt. Mateo yells at her and she leaves. The staff have selfish spending suggestions until Jonah says the decision is Amy's. Everyone looks at her expectantly and she agrees with one of the asks – to spend the money upgrading the Break Room which disappoints Jonah. In the dressing room, Garrett tries to explain why he was grinning earlier but it makes the situation worse so that Dina thinks he's obsessed with her. Amy and a few staff are shopping for items for the Break Room and Jonah is trying to make her feel bad for not being selfish. He makes several very unnecessary purchases to get Amy to stop trying to appease everyone. Containers of cheese and bleach that look alike are mixed up. (♫ Free Ride – The Edgar Winter Group ♫)
Made over Break Room.
At customer service, Tate talks to Garrett when Dina walks by. Garrett forces a rhyme greeting which comes off weird, causing both Dina and Tate to leave. A customer asks for help from Amy and she realizes the there are no employees on the floor. They are all in the made-over Break Room which is now dimly lit with relaxing music, massage chairs and other conveniences. Dressed as a mime, Glenn finds Jonah stocking shelves and performs an act. Jonah tops Glenn's act and when a child who is watching cheers, it angers Glenn. A child smashes plates. (♫ Get Down On It – Kool and the Gang ♫) In the Break Room, Tate hogs the relaxation chair which Amy wants to use. She finally snaps and threatens to pull him out by his hair plugs. Amy sits in the chair and is just starting to relax when Sandra enters and announces that she's found the owner of the cargo shorts and the money.
Talking is the best medicine.
Sandra introduces Stuart who she found with information on the receipt and her incredible memory. Stuart works with his church counselling at risk youth and had saved the money for a trip for them. He is able to detail the questionable items in the shorts which he had taken from the teens. The money having been given to Stuart, the Break Room items are returned and it is back to normal which depresses everyone. Sandra says her birthday is Friday which brings icy glares. Garrett confronts Dina on the floor and begins a tirade that he is normal and she is weird. After a crowd has gathered he knows he's come off as the crazy one and leaves. In the Warehouse, Amy is doing inventory when Glenn enters dressed in a one-man band outfit. Glenn is discouraged that he's tried to cheer the staff up but can't. She confides the troubled state of her marriage to him which she finds helpful and it cheers her up.
