You've also been helping me find myself.

At customer service, Glenn makes a long announcement about stepping down as manager which Amy says he's been doing hourly so as many customers as possible will hear it. In the Break Room, Glenn gives his last instructions to the staff. Mateo wonders who'll be the new manager and while Glenn hopes it's Amy, he's doubtful as the district manager Laurie doesn't like Amy. A male customer uses a long pronged spatula to scratch his back. (♫ Hootie and the Blowfish - Only Wanna Be with You ♫) Laurie arrives in the store and catches Cheyenne and Garrett watching a video on their phone. She rebukes them and makes them put their phones away in their lockers.

You'll be out before you know it.

While helping Glenn clean out his office, Mateo finds a bag with $27,000 in cash. Glenn explains it's unused money from the store's maintenance fund which Jonah makes him realize he accidentally embezzled from Cloud 9. Amy's attempt to impress Laurie falls flat and Laurie informs her that she already has a new manager. Cheyenne and Garrett put their phones away and immediately go through separation difficulties. At the Warehouse loading dock, Jonah tries to calm Glenn while Mateo suggests Glenn spend the $27,000 on a coat. Jonah suggests that if they cause enough damage in the store, the cash can be used for it's intended purpose and Glenn won't technically have embezzled it.

Where do we begin?

Amy tells Dina that Laurie already has a new manager and won't give her an interview. Dina points out that granting an interview is against company policy and once Laurie is confronted with this, she gives in. In Glenn's office, Amy lists her qualifications but Laurie ignores her, watches a video on her phone and confirms Amy isn't getting the manager's position. Suffering without their phones, Garrett can't remember the name of an actor and his frustration is worsened as Cheyenne suggests actors who are slightly connected with descriptions Garrett gives. Mateo brings a shopping cart full of tools into the Warehouse where Jonah encourages Glenn to damage a wall. Glenn has a fond memory of Cody associated with the wall and then hurts himself when he strikes it with a pipe wrench.

Get out!

In the store, Amy tells Dina about her "interview" and Laurie introduces the new manager, her young son, Blaine, who immediately shows his immaturity. Desperate to access social media, Cheyenne shows an elderly woman a laptop so she can access her account. Amy feels better that the reason she didn't get the manager's job wasn't her lack of qualifications. After Blaine shows her and Dina that he doesn't understand what inventory is, Dina tells Amy to complain about his hiring to corporate. Instead, Amy seeks out Laurie in Glenn's office and catches her snorting cocaine. Later in the store, Laurie tells Amy that she'd like to make her manager. Only wanting the job based on her merits and saying she won't tell anybody about Laurie's cocaine use, Laurie thanks her but doesn't give her the job.

Is that really what you think we should do?

Glenn, Jonah and Mateo smash items in the Warehouse, dressing rooms and clog a toilet. (♫ N.W.A. - Gangsta Gangsta ♫) At customer service, Garrett tries to get two customers to look up the actor he can't remember on their phones but instead, they give inane answers to the clues he provides. Amy tells Dina about her encounter with Laurie and that she didn't want to get the job because of implied blackmail. Dina's disappointment is furthered when Blaine approaches them, believing when the store is out of an item, they buy it from another Cloud 9 store. In the Warehouse, Glenn deals with a contractor, Bill, about repairs to the damage. Glenn is disappointed to find that Bill won't overcharge for the repairs, leaving $12,000 of the embezzled money. A female customer tries on a vest and looks at herself in one of the dressing room's smashed mirrors. (♫ The Goo Goo Dolls - Dizzy ♫)

Your blackmail cancels out his nepotism.

In the Break Room, the staff including Justine complain about Blaine. When they learn that Amy could have had the job but would have had to blackmail Laurie, several staff make appeals to Amy. However, it's Marcus who speaks of sacrifices that need to be made for the greater good that convinces Amy. Glenn tells Jonah and Mateo about the embezzled money that is left and resigns himself to being punished. When Jonah and Mateo suggest more damage that can be done to the store, Glenn rubs a wall affectionately and says no. Garrett suddenly remembers the name of the actor he's been trying to remember who Cheyenne doesn't know.

That ought to cover it, right?

At Coffee & Bakery, Amy tries to appeal to Laurie about being better suited as manager than Blaine without success. When it becomes clear that Laurie won't make Amy manager unless blackmailed, Amy does so and swears at her. Having gotten the job, Dina puts a poor picture of Amy as the store manager up on the wall and calls her "boss." In the parking lot, Jonah and Mateo console Glenn as he leaves for the day and gets into his car. He then drives his car through the store's entrance way causing huge damage which will use up the rest of the embezzled money.
