Mateo tries to give himself a promotion, and Garrett attempts to sabotage Glenn's positive attitude.
Obviously, I didn't intend to tell everyone how much I was making. And, honestly, I'm quite surprised that anyone receiving that information from a clearly confused and elderly woman would make that announcement.
In the Break Room, Amy gives the morning announcements on her first day as manager until interrupted by Glenn, who has to be reminded that he's not manager anymore. He gives her announcement notes which includes a bad pun on a foot found in the parking lot. In Amy's office, Jonah unsuccessfully tries to get Amy excited about her promotion. In the store, Mateo manipulates Cheyenne into agreeing that he'd be the best candidate to replace Amy as floor supervisor. She suggests that he needs to act like he has the position in order to get it. In a vintage Cloud 9 uniform, Glenn asks Justine, Marcus and Garrett what he should work on. Telling him to clean up a disgusting mess, he leaves cheerfully which Garrett can't believe.
I don't think Amy see me as a leader.
In Amy's office, Dina asks Amy for money to upgrade the store security system. Asking for Jonah's opinion, he advises waiting. When Amy accepts his advice, Dina glares at Jonah and sarcastically thanks him. Mateo approaches Sandra and asks her to straighten out the linen section. She's starts to question who asked him to tell her to, but Mateo stares her down until she complies. On the phone with corporate in her office, Amy is told she can hire an assistant. When she hears her salary will be $109,000 and she'll get a bonus and perks, she's surprised and ecstatic. Corporate indicates they'll fax over a contract for her to sign. A beaming Amy enters the store, high-fives Jennifer, pays Sarah and Brett compliments and gives Sayid an extra break. (♫ Ibibio Sound Machine - The Talking Fish ♫) She tells everyone she bought donuts which Cheyenne thinks Amy wants to keep for herself.
I'm in a good mood!
Approaching Jonah, Dina threatens to get Amy to break up with him if he doesn't keep his opinions to himself when she's asking Amy for something. Jonah won't give in and dares her to try and break him and Amy up. Mateo addresses a group of staff including, Ted, Taylor, Roxy, Sayid and Marcus and gives them assignments. When Sayid questions his authority, Mateo bluffs that he's been given it which Marcus backs him up on. Now that Amy is manager, Dina questions Jonah's suitable to be her boyfriend which Amy dismisses. Seeing Myrtle eating ketchup packets at Coffee & Bakery, Amy offers her a job as her assistant which Myrtle enthusiastically accepts. Singing and stacking cans, Glenn's mood isn't affected when a thoughtless buffoon knocks down the cans. Garrett tries to make Glenn see being a floor worker is a bad job to which Glenn counters there are no bad jobs if one's attitude is great.

In Amy's office, Jonah learns that Myrtle has been made her assistant. Dispatching Myrtle to give an announcement to Garrett, Amy effuses about her salary and asks Jonah to pass the contract corporate faxed over and says he can take a look at it. When he indicates the papers are the announcements, Amy realizes Myrtle took her contract to Garrett. Running into the store, she finds Garrett announcing her salary over the P.A. to the staff's astonishment. In the Break Room, Amy apologizes and Mateo tries to pass himself off as a floor supervisor. Dina tries to cause a problem between Amy and Jonah by saying him making less money than Amy is emasculating. Marcus reveals that he makes more than Amy and it's discovered he's been being paid ten times his hourly wage due to an error.
Glenn rues that he had to let people go over the mistake. Amy tells Marcus he will have to give the over payments back which Cheyenne thinks goes to Amy. A goat eats flowers in a display. (♫ Matchbox Twenty - Unwell ♫) At Coffee & Bakery, Glenn makes light of getting mayo on his shirt while cleaning up. While Justine laughs, Garrett tries to make Glenn angry by pointing out all the money he's losing by not being manager anymore. Glenn doesn't care and his continued quips frustrate Garrett and make Justine laugh so hard she pees her pants. Disguising his voice, Mateo calls himself to customer service and calls himself a floor supervisor.
No Justine, it's not funny!
With Dina, Amy sees Sandra having a tough time cleaning up vomit and offers to help. Cheyenne interrupts with a gift basket from corporate and news that Amy's expensive corporate car has arrived, which Sayid can't believe. Awkwardly, Amy leaves to sign for the car. Incredulous with Marcus' impoverished lifestyle despite the money he has been making, Jonah is interrupted by an attractive woman, Joelle, who cites an author Jonah likes and then offers to have sex with him. Confronting Dina that she paid Joelle to seduce and record Jonah having sex in order to give the recording to Amy, Dina critisizes Joelle's suitability for the job and tells her to help out in the store. At checkout, Cheyenne asks Amy for permission for a customer to use an unsuitable card to pay for diapers.
You're the manager, not some vomit girl.
Amy says the card can't be used and trying to be understanding, causes confusion which the customer takes that Amy will pay for the diapers herself. Amy states she's not offering to pay for the customer's diapers which brings a wry face from Cheyenne after she states how much Amy makes. Feeling guilty, Amy gives in and the customer takes advantage and makes Amy pay for candy as well. Happily, Glenn relates a disgusting clean-up job to Garrett who insists that working in the store is horrible and Glenn will never convince him otherwise. Myrtle encounters the store greeter hologram of herself and does what the hologram says. Mateo puts a picture of himself as floor supervisor on the wall by customer service. In Amy's office, Jonah finds Amy discouraged over the events of the day. Saying she needs a drink, Jonah points out that she's the boss and they leave for one.
Amy and Jonah get combative to keep their new relationship hidden from their co-workers. Meanwhile, Glenn spirals when he learns Kelly wants to transfer to a new store, and Cheyenne struggles to organize a Cloud 9 carpool.
When an employee costume competition is announced, Amy and Mateo aren't afraid to play dirty to win first prize, a paid day off. Meanwhile, Glenn is preoccupied by Cloud 9's new automatic cart collector, and Garrett is tormented by an annoying Halloween novelty song.
Amy and Dina are both in labor! But while Glenn's manager status gets Dina the royal treatment at a fancy hospital, Amy and Jonah have a far different experience at a cheaper clinic. At the store, Garrett struggles to express his best wishes for the new parents.
Amy faces a nightmare day at work when she learns she doesn't have maternity leave, made worse by Cheyenne and Mateo campaign to change her baby's name. Meanwhile, Jonah and Garrett take on hiring the new seasonal help.
When a new Cloud 9 initiative forces employees to be friendlier to their customers, Amy ends up getting to know Jonah's parents, and learns he hasn't been completely truthful with them. The new policy also inspires Garrett and Dina to find out who can hold a smile longer.
Jonah and Amy take Glenn's tickets to a managers' conference in Chicago so they can enjoy a free night on the town, but their plan hits a few bumps. At the store, Cheyenne helps Mateo damage control after his undocumented status is leaked, and Dina and Garrett struggle at gift-wrapping.
Amy and Cheyenne attend Cloud 9 Academy to advance their careers. Dina and Garrett get roped into babysitting Glenn's daughter while he childproofs his office, and Jonah and Mateo become political activists.
Corporate introduces a friendly step-tracking challenge between Cloud 9 branches, and Amy, Jonah, and Dina create a fake rivalry to inspire Store #1217's laziest employees. But healthy competition gets increasingly chaotic when the fake rivalry becomes real.
Jonah and Amy's first Valentine's Day together gets derailed when Dina brings her birds to work, which also causes trouble for Garrett. Meanwhile, Cheyenne offers to give Marcus a sentimental tattoo, and Glenn makes videos for his daughter to watch while he's at work.
Amy jumps at an amazing career opportunity, only to run up against an exec with a major grudge against her. Jonah and Mateo help Glenn with a financial problem, while Garrett and Cheyenne struggle to spend a day without cell phones.

Suspicious that people are making fun of her, Amy and Jonah spy on Cloud 9 employees through the security system, while Dina tries to track down an unsanctioned Easter Bunny in the store. Glenn preps for his church's Passion play.
Despite Dina's protests, Amy lets Glenn's pastor host an Earth Day booth at the store, but things quickly unravel when Glenn won't recognize Amy's authority. Jonah spearheads Cloud 9's green initiative, but is met with apathy from his coworkers.
Dina agrees to play the bad guy when corporate forces Amy to cut everyone's hours. Meanwhile, Jonah and the other employees play an elaborate game of laser tag with the store's new scanners, and Mateo makes a startling discovery about Marcus.
When a photo of a mess at store 1217 goes viral, Amy and Jonah try to use it to their advantage, while Dina starts hunting for the anonymous tweeter. And with money tight now that their hours have been cut back, Mateo, Cheyenne, Garrett, and Glenn sell their personal items in the store.
Amy and Dina visit Cloud 9 corporate to fix problems caused by Sandra's misguided activism, while Jonah tries to sabotage an employee meeting and Garrett tries to prove to his co-workers that he's a good person.
Amy and Jonah find themselves on opposing sides as corporate tries to win over employees by showering them with treats. But when the company's tactics grow more extreme, everyone must band together to save one of their own.
