Season 6 of Superstore was confirmed on February 11, 2020. It premiered on October 29, 2020 on all the streaming services.[1]

- Filming started in August 2020.
- It was announced on February 28, 2020, that America Ferrera who played Amy Sosa would exit the series after the fifth season.
- It was announced on February 9, 2021, the season finale episode is going to be a one hour series finale that will conclude the season on March 25, 2021.[5]
- Ferrera (Amy Sosa) would return with a two-part series finale.
