Season Six of Superstore was confirmed on February 11, 2020. It premiered on October 29, 2020 on all the streaming services.[1]

Production[]

  • Filming started in August 2020.
  • It was announced on February 28, 2020, that America Ferrera who played Amy Sosa would exit the series after the fifth season.
    • However, due to the ongoing COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, her farewell episode was pushed back to this season.[2] It extended to two episodes.[3]
    • It was announced on December 3rd, 2020 that the 6th season would be the last for the show. [4]
  • It was announced on February 9, 2021, the season finale episode is going to be a one hour series finale that will conclude the season on March 25, 2021.[5]
  • Ferrera (Amy Sosa) would return with a two-part series finale.
