Sturgis and Sons (stylized as Sturgis & Sons) is a family-owned hardware shop ran by Glenn Sturgis' father for 59 years. Glenn describes Sturgis and Sons as a real community where everyone knew each other well, until the Ozark Highlands Cloud 9 store opened and took away most of the customer base from the hardware shop, causing it to shut down. The shop's closure was overseen by Cloud 9 executive Lowell Anderson, who promised Glenn's dad that he would save the store if he ate a can of dog food; despite Glenn's dad doing the deed, Lowell shut down his store anyways. When the staff of Cloud 9 Store 1217 are accidentally locked inside the store overnight, Glenn initially seems to be unbothered working for the company that shut down his family business. As the night goes on, he eventually lets his true feelings out, disdain towards the corporate and uncaring culture of Cloud 9 that killed his homely family business. When Glenn completely loses his mind, he starts a party in the store that is "sponsored by Sturgis and Sons". ("All-Nighter")

In 2021, when it is found out that Cloud 9 Store 1217 is going to be shut down and turned into a online shopping fulfillment center, Glenn decides to reopen Sturgis and Sons as he realizes, thanks to Mateo, that he is not ready to retire yet. He employs both Mateo and Cheyenne to work with him. In a flash-forward sequence showcasing the future lives of the former Cloud 9 employees, Glenn is then shown leading Mateo and Cheyenne in a morale-building cheer before starting work at Sturgis & Sons. • According to Glenn, the West Concord Mall was nearly responsible for Sturgis and Sons going out of business before Cloud 9 opened. ("Mall Closing")
