The nerd smell is overwhelming. It's like a potent blend of B.O., pizza rolls and misogyny.
A group of cosplaying gamers are seen lining up outside the store before it opens. Inside the store, Dina announces the release of a new video game "Barbarians Gate 3" to the staff and asks them to be vigilant so that tramplings are avoided. Amy asks if a game can be set aside for her but Dina says no. Jonah is surprised that Amy plays video games but Garrett is supportive. Glenn wonders what happened to innocent video games absent of violence but the staff point out flaws in the games he mentions including Myrtle mentioning a bug in Donkey Kong. Sandra says she creates a family when playing The Sims which evokes an incredulous response from Mateo.
We can have fewer tramplings.
A lineup of gamers is waiting at the cash in the electronics department, keen on buying the new video game. Amy still wants the game and asks Dina again if she'll make an exception to the rule that employees can't buy products until their shift is over but Dina refuses. Dina leaves so Jonah encourages Amy to sneak a copy of the game out of the cage. Amy is reluctant but Jonah convinces her. Garrett, an avid gamer, meets Erick Evans who does voices on many video games. He's uncharacteristically nervous around Erick and is too strong in his admiration for him. Glenn and Sandra can't get the gamers to clear an aisle so Dina yells at the gamers and they comply. She then calls Glenn and Sandra useless. Amy and Jonah are at the cage where the games are stored but can't reach them. They see a small door that leads into the cage and Jonah suggests they find the store plans and figure out how to get into the cage.
In Glenn's Office, Amy and Jonah consult the store plans which Jonah reads incorrectly. Amy moves a filing cabinet and finds a small door. In the Stock Room, Glenn convinces Sandra that they should stop being doormats. Garrett sees Mateo talking to Erick and wants to know everything they said. Mateo repeats their small talk in a mocking manner. Dina sprays the line-up of gamers with air freshener while making condescending remarks on their smell. Amy and Jonah venture into the bowels of the store and find a ladder. Glenn and Sandra emerge from the Stock Room and begin berating customers for breaking minor rules. (♫ The Qemists - Stalker (No Surprise) ♫) Amber, a nursing mother is sitting in a display area which forbids sitting and they make her leave much to her anger. Garrett gets a coffee for Erick and tells personal details about him which results in an awkward silence.
Sir and Ma'am.
Amy and Jonah are navigating a tunnel when Dina phone calls Amy asking for help control the gamers. Amy lies that she's right near Dina and is busy with a customer and hangs up. Glenn and Sandra find that Amber has brought many breastfeeding women to the store to stage a protest. In the Break Room, Glenn discusses the "nurse-in" with the staff. Earl thinks breastfeeding should be done in private and doesn't get Garrett's support. Dina wonders why the protest is occurring since the store allows breastfeeding to which Glenn lies he doesn't know and shuts down Sandra from revealing their earlier confrontation. Marcus wonders where the limit is in men revealing their body parts in the store. Sandra wonders why adults aren't drinking breast milk and why cheese can't be made from it which Marcus sees as a business opportunity. Dina berates Garrett for not wanting to drink breast milk when he has sex with women.
I am not with this guy.
Amy and Jonah discover the recall room which is filled with merchandise that is dangerous or offensive. A man in a Viking helmet sucks on a juice box and watches a woman breast feed. (♫ Oran "Juice" Jones - The Rain ♫) A mother yells at Glenn that breastfeeding shouldn't be allowed in the store. At the Pharmacy, Garrett butters up Mateo and asks for help becoming friends with Erick. Amy and Jonah play with a lot of the recalled merchandise. (♫ Drew Funk - Take the Money and Run ♫) As they play a racially offensive board game, Jonah recalls his first day on the job and gets Amy to admit that she's warmed to him over the years. They continue their quest in the tunnels and come upon a small door. They open it hoping it leads to the cage but find it comes out into a dressing room and sidle past Dennis who is trying pants on.
I want an Oompa Loompa.
Glenn and Sandra unsuccessfully plead with the breastfeeding mothers to move. Dina finds them pathetic and says she can't believe she's having Glenn's baby. Glenn looks shocked which surprises Dina since she texted Glenn that the impregnation worked. She then realizes that she texted the wrong Glenn. Glenn is overjoyed and gets teary while the mothers look on in confusion. In the Break Room, Mateo has arranged for he and Garrett to have a beer with Erick. Erick says the situation is cool but Garrett breaks down and rants that it's not cool as he isn't comfortable with his own hero-worshipping of Erick. He insults Erick and leaves. Mateo says to Erick that Garrett actually is the cool one in the store. The game sold out, Jonah surprises Amy with one that he traded for with a customer. Delighted, she asks Jonah if he'd like to see the game played but he has to meet Kelly. As he walks way, Dina sees how Amy looks at him and asks if she has a crush on Jonah which she admits to.
Have you got a crush on Jonah?
